Each of the cabins has a safe (located in the closet) with approx dimensions (inches/centimeters) – width (10/25), height (9/23) and depth (8/20). It is advisable not to use a valid credit card (or driver’s license), but an old expired card (or some rewards card) instead. Carnival Miracle has 66 obstructed-view balcony units, all of them located on Deck 5. This is the type of cabin we had for our cruise, and although we expected to have limited views over the lifeboat, what we didn't expect was a wall that jutted out about 10 feet on one side, completely obscuring our forward view.

Ocean views come courtesy of large, rectangular windows situated on the far side of the cabins. The first few dry dock periods, in 2007 and 2009, added just a few extra features, including kids-only venues and the ship’s nine-hole mini golf course. In 2012, a more expansive dry dock took place, during which Carnival updated staterooms and suites and created the Serenity adults-only area. Guests have told us we hit on something special with the cool Caribbean chill of the RedFrog Pub. We've taken the best parts and brought them poolside with the RedFrog Rum Bar, where the frog keeps the fun hopping day and night with all the island flava you know and love.

Carnival Miracle offers lots of spaces for adults to relax in serene settings. Take, for example, the ship’s updated spa, which is only open to cruisers ages 18 and up. There, you can relax as you’re treated to a range of beauty and wellness therapies, from facials to body wraps. Vista suites, in contrast, put the focus on the exterior experience, with big, wraparound balconies to truly maximize your views. Plus, inside, you can still enjoy those views thanks to wall-to-wall windows. Delicious meals are served at two sprawling formal dining rooms on two levels.
There were two 110V outlets at the desk, and another by the bed, and a flat-screen TV mounted inside a cabinet that offered a few public channels, plus several ship channels used for Carnival communications and movie channels. Balcony staterooms are your best and most updated options, particularly the premium balcony staterooms, which offer a slightly more updated aesthetic. You have several balcony options to choose from, including extended balconies and obstructed view balconies. All cabins come with two twins that can be pushed together on request for a king-sized bed. Some cabins come with one or even two pulldown beds, or with a single or double pullout sofa bed.
All passenger cabin and suite mini-bars are stocked with premium liquors ($6-9,25), beer ($6,25), energy drinks ($5), soft soda/beverages ($2), bottled water ($3,75). In-cabin babysitting is not available (read more at Camp Ocean below). Cribs in cruise cabins are provided complimentary (upon request).
Balance updates are provided at Guest Services desk (at any time). They can also be checked via the smart TV in each stateroom. The horizon view from these units is blocked by lifeboats, but you can gaze down onto the Deck 3 promenade just below.
The lobby and atrium are called after the Metropolis of "Superman" fame, and there is also a Gotham lounge, which gets its name from "Batman". The lowest ones on each side were sufficient for a standard travel kit. A retractable line gave us a place to hang wet laundry inside the shower. Shampoo and shower gel were available in fixed dispensers inside the shower. There was bar soap, but no conditioner or body lotion were provided.
Cloud 9 Spa staff are masters (or, maybe more like artists) trained in the craft of simply helping you chill. What’s their secret Massages, facials, body wraps, thermal suites and more plus, on certain ships, the amazing Hydrotherapy Pool — these are the tools of the trade. Jogging may not immediately come to mind when you think of things to do at sea, but it probably should. You don’t have to walk on water, you just have to get on a Carnival cruise. After all, if you’re going to jog, you’d be hard-pressed to find a place to do it with a more scenic view, or a more refreshing breeze — both of these are available in abundance when you go for an open-air jog on the upper-deck.
